and 22 days. A lot has happened to me since my last post on this here blog that no one knows about. The pandemic might have affected me more than I think. It truly felt like the world was ending. I didn’t know what to do besides drink and ride the wave of chaos. I just stopped caring about a lot of things. My youtube “career” took a tumble. I started posting random stuff to the channel with no clear direction. Drank a lot. Made weird, impulsive decisions.
The last 5 years of “struggling” financially, paycheck to paycheck, odd jobs hasn’t really been that bad though. Ever since I met Karly (right before the pandemic) I’ve sort of been happier than I ever was in my 20s. I don’t know. Maybe the Beatles were right.
I’m a very different person now. As of today I’m 558 days sober from alcohol and 115 days sober from Kratom. Karly and I got engaged last July. I have two healthy dogs. We live in Nashville. Everything’s fine, we’re gonna make it. “you FELL OFF bro”
There you go, here’s a blog post for that one person on the stream that asked me to add to my blog.
Thanks for reading,
Andrew Hales

just read this today and needed to. I’m close to a rock bottom the only good thing in my life is my wife and if I don’t straighten up I’m going to lose her too. Reading your blog gave me some hope and desire to be better. Thank you.

Andrew, I’ve been keeping up for your blog for years, periodically checking maybe once a year to see if you’ve posted. I don’t care if I have to wait five years for a new post. Your writing is healing and encouraging. So proud to read this one.

Hi Andrew,
I came across your YouTube channel about 12 years ago and loved your initial content. Eventually, the content turned mostly into vlogs as you were done with pranks. In a way, you sharing stories and personal experiences through vlogs contributed to my personal growth. Surely, I am not the only person you had a meaningful impact on, even though I imagine that might be hard to believe from ‘your side’ of the camera. But I would like to sincerly thank you for that.
You didn’t fall off, you moved on into a new phase of your life. Glad to hear you are feeling better than in your 20’s and finding stability. Wishing you and Karly all the best.
Warm regards, from The Netherlands,
Stefan

I read this bro. I don’t even remember subscribing to this. You were a big part of my early 20s and you’re right.. I’m 31 now and I can say I’m happier now than I was in my 20s. Maybe because I too have found some love. Maybe that’s all we need is love, peace, vibes and a best friend to share all it with. Glad you’re doing well. Take care buddy

Hi Andrew,
I think you are seriously overlooking your talent for writing here. To give you an example: I can still remember by memory your post about that summer you’ve worked at McDonalds. You described it so vividly that it almost feels like a memory of my own.
The reasing I’ve been following you for 10+ years is your sincerity, and it radiates through your writing as well.
As your audience grew up with you and most of us are now in our thirties as you, I think you potentially could reach an audience with this ánd I’m sure it will beneficial as well for yourself to write down your “memoires”. Maybe a book in the long run?
I for one have really appreciated every single WordPress-post you’ve put out and hope you’ll post some more in the future 🙏 .
Good luck with your sobriety and life with your soon-to-be wife.
Greetings,
A random guy from Belgium
